After the newest update, some information here may be incorrect or missing.
Please bear with us (or help) while we obtain all the new information. |
Thanks to research done by players and other interested parties, it appears that there is some kind of pattern to creature spawns in the wild. It may be possible for any creature to spawn anywhere with a very low chance, but the spawn dynamics below indicate what is most likely. Players can recognise different spawn dynamics by observing the grouping structures below and checking the spawns in their area.
The different spawn dynamics DO stack, however, so keep in mind that:
- a specific location's spawns will be affected by multiple factors such as global spawns, that area being near a park or other green space, that area's local biome and any nearby points of interest.
- the higher the rarity of the creature, the less likely it is to spawn, even if it is more likely to spawn in a specific area.
Please note:
- This is pure speculation and is only a guideline to what we think may be true. Nothing has been confirmed by the game developers as far as we know.
- This is subject to change at any time, depending on what the game developers may choose to update.
- As of 6 July 2018, some changes were made to Spawn dynamics[1].
- As of 25 July 2018, a massive update was made to most of the game, completely changing the spawn mechanics we had before. This update is reflected below.[2]

Close Range Spawns
The Map now differentiates short-range and long-range spawn points and will spawn different creatures! Some creatures can only be found in short-range. With this new differentiation, short-range will have a slightly higher chance of spawning an Epic creature compared to long-range spawn points.
